Toffee brown, medium-bodied, with a creamy head and an aroma of rasins and freshly baked dar bread. Mild Winter's rich caramel malt and spicy rye flavors are sure to take the bite out of whatever Old Man Winter brews up for you this year.

FIXED GEAR AMERICAN RED - LAKEFRONT BREWERY IN MIlwaukee, WI

Inspired by the energy and audacity of the fixed gear courier, Lakefront Brewery ran smack into this arresting creation. Fixed Gear is a big, bold American red ale. It pours a glaring crimson tone with a rocky white head and a brilliant floral-citrus aroma, thanks to an aggressive dry hopping. Its immodest, malty spine and intrepid caramel flavors blow in via gratuitous amounts of 2-row pale and dark caramel malts. A balanced citrus bite comes from Chinook and Cascade hops followed shortly by mild, fruity esters from the ale yeast.

OUISCONSING RED ALE - CENTRAL WATERS BREWING IN AMHERST, WISCONSIN

This smooth amber ale with its mellow nutty flavor and subtle flowery nose is a hit with even the newest of speciality beer drinkers. Named from the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River, Ouisconsing Red makes even our neighbors to the south and west "want to be a Badger."

CABIN FEVER - NEW GLARUS BREWING CO. IN NEW GLARUS, WISCONSIN

MOOSE DROOL BROWN ALE - BIG SKY BREWING CO. IN MISSUOLA, MT

It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and WILLAMETTE HOPS.

Blue Moon - MillerCoors in Golden, Colorado

The orange peel flavor comes through in the taste as well, the underlying flavor is sharp, if not tart, but refreshing for all that. The beer is unfiltered, which adds additional cloudiness and leaves a considerable sediment in the bottom of the glass. The recipe includes ‘White Wheat, Oats, Coriander and Orange Peel’ and while many wheat beers are sometimes served with a slice of lemon, Blue Moon encourages the addition of a slice of orange to further enhance the orange flavor.

WISCONSIN AMBER - CAPITAL BREWERY IN MIDDLETON, WISCONSIN

Loosely based on Vienna style, Wisconsin Amber is a rich, malty lager balanced out with mild hop bittering and enticing hop flavor. Very fulfilling. Very drinkable.

SPOTTED COW - NEW GLARUS BREWING CO. IN NEW GLARUS, WISCONSIN

Cask conditioned ale has been the popular choice among brews since long before prohibition. We continue this pioneer spirit with our Wisconsin farmhouse ale. Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which cannot be duplicated otherwise. Expect this ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying. You know you're in Wisconsin when you see the Spotted Cow.

Guinness - Guinness & Co. in Dublin, Ireland

Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm, settle, breathe in the moment, then break through the smooth, light head to the bittersweet reward. Unmistakeably GUINNESS® beer, stout, or draught , from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between. Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS®.

Fat Tire - New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado

Named in honor of our founder Jeff's bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer's home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients in fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, in assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire's appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans with its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness.

IPA, Lagunitas Brewing Co. in Petaluma, California

This is a unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice enroute, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Shiner Bock, Spoetzel Brewing in Shiner,Texas

Just think of it as Shiner smooth.

Honey Weiss, Leinenkugel Brewing Co. in Chippwa Falls, Wisconsin
